Helen Yiga

Helen Yiga has a strong work experience in finance and accounting roles. Helen is currently working as the Chief Financial Officer at Bidvest Protea Coin since 2020. Prior to this, they worked at DHL Supply Chain as the Compliance, Accounting and Governance Manager for Africa from 2018 to 2019, and as the Finance Director for East Africa from 2016 to 2018. Helen also gained valuable experience at Sony, where they served as the Financial Controller and Head of Finance for the South African subsidiary from 2013 to 2015. Before that, they worked as the Regional Financial Manager for the Peninsula Region at Medi-Clinic from 2007 to 2012. Helen started their career as an Articled Audit Clerk at Mazars South Africa from 2000 to 2003.

Helen Yiga's education history begins in 1992 when they attended Mmabatho High School and obtained their Matric diploma in 1995. Helen further pursued higher education at the University of Cape Town from 1996 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree with a focus on Accounting, Auditing, Financial Management, and Taxation. Continuing their educational journey, Helen attended the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2002, where they completed a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) Honours degree in Accounting and Finance. Additionally, they hold the certification of Chartered Accountant (South Africa) from SAICA CA(SA), although the specific time of obtaining this certification is unknown.
