Sonal Vallabh is the current Community Event Manager at Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star. Prior to this, they worked as Special Event Coordinator at Ability Connection Texas from November 2017 to February 2018. In this role, they were responsible for managing the entire event portfolio for the organization, which included developing and maintaining relationships with staff and community organizations, as well as planning and executing all Ability Connection fundraising events.
Some of Sonal's key accomplishments include producing over $100,000 in revenue from ticket sales, fundraising elements, and live and silent auction items; cultivating and maintaining foundation partnerships that produced over $10,000 for the Independent living studio; overseeing the vendor process for event supplies; generating new ideas to improve the event planning and execution process; and communicating event details with management teams and other stakeholders.
Sonal is known for their creative approach to event planning and their ability to think outside the box to come up with new ideas that achieve the objectives and financial needs of their organization. Sonal is a highly effective communicator and has a proven track record of successfully coordinating multiple events simultaneously.
Sonal Vallabh has a Bachelor's degree in Event Management from the University of Central Florida – Rosen College of Hospitality Management.
