National Manager, Network Initiatives And Engagement at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada

Jordan May has held multiple roles in the non-profit sector. From April 2021, they worked as the Manager of National Programs at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada. In February 2023, they were promoted to the position of National Manager, Network Initiatives and Engagement. Prior to joining Big Brothers Big Sisters, Jordan worked at the YMCA of Greater Toronto from 2014 to 2021. During their time there, they held various roles, including National Program Coordinator, Regional Program Coordinator, Job Developer, Administrative Coordinator, and Local Coordinator. Their responsibilities mainly focused on coordinating and developing youth exchange programs and facilitating digital skills internships for youth.

Jordan May completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree at the University of Toronto from 2011 to 2015. The degree included a major in International Relations and minors in History and Political Science. In addition to their academic achievements, Jordan has obtained several certifications. These include ASIST Suicide Prevention Training from LivingWorks Canada in December 2018, Mental Health First Aid For Adults Who Interact With Youth from the Mental Health Commission of Canada in February 2018, a Critical Youth Work Certificate from YouthREX Research and Evaluation Exchange in December 2017, and a Certificate in French Language B1+/++ from L'Institut de Touraine in July 2017.
