Lizzette Garza is an experienced program coordinator currently serving as the Big Futures Program Coordinator at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago since July 2018. This program focuses on preparing youth aged 14 to 24 for future success in various areas, including career and life exploration, as well as post-secondary education. Prior to this role, Lizzette held positions at Erie Elementary Charter School, including Bilingual Site-Based Partnerships & Program Facilitator and Bilingual Site Based Program Coordinator. Experience also includes roles at Living the Language, LLC, The Ancona School, Namaste Charter School, and the University of Illinois at Chicago, covering diverse responsibilities such as instructional assistance, curriculum development, and teaching. Lizzette earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Fine and Studio Arts, along with a minor in Latin American and Latino Studies, from the University of Illinois Chicago. Additionally, Lizzette studied at the School of Visual Arts from 2004 to 2007.
