Head of Video Production We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Video Production to oversee the video production department, Cabal Creative. As the Head of Video Production, you will manage a team of internal and external creators, editors and producers who create compelling audiovisual content for our three publications. This is a leadership role that requires a strong creative vision, excellent project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality video content. The role reports directly to the Editorial Director.

Your duties will include:

  • Building and leading a high-performing video production team in developing, producing, and distributing high-quality video content for the company's publications.
  • Working with the editorial teams to develop video concepts and formats that are aligned with the publications' editorial goals, brand identity and target audience.
  • Fostering a collaborative and creative work environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Managing the video production budget and ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Hiring, training, and developing the video production team.
  • Representing the video production team to the company's management and other departments.
  • Driving efficient team operations on the team by managing projects, scheduling work, assigning tasks, and enforcing deadlines.
  • Maintaining high standards of quality and ensuring consistency in video production across all publications. Developing and enforcing production guidelines, style guides, and brand standards to maintain a cohesive visual identity.
  • Ensuring that all video content meets the highest possible standard.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including sales and growth to support video production for advertising campaigns and sponsored content initiatives.
  • Documenting our processes obsessively, and tracking and measuring the performance of video content.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in video production and technology.

**To succeed in this role, you’ll need: **

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a video production environment, and at least two years leading a creative team.
  • Knowledge of shooting and editing videos.
  • Demonstrated skill with video editing software platforms.
  • Extensive knowledge of video production equipment.
  • Experience with live streaming is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Excellent organization, planning, and communication skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work with varying and changing needs.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
