Andrew Friedman has an extensive work experience spanning over several companies in the gaming industry. Andrew is currently working as the General Manager of Franchise Games at Big Fish Games since 2022. Prior to that, they held the role of Vice President of Games at Osmo from 2020 to 2022, where they led the global strategy, design, operations, and development for physical and digital games.
Before joining Osmo, Andrew was the Head of Gaming Operations at DraftKings, Inc. from 2018 to 2020. In this role, they led the game strategy, design, financial performance, and live operations for the company's $200 million gaming vertical. Andrew also oversaw the publishing of more than 300 titles and the development of the company's original line of games.
Prior to their time at DraftKings, Andrew worked as a consultant from 2015 to 2017, providing strategic advice in the gaming industry. From 2012 to 2015, they served as the Executive Director and General Manager of Games at Amplify, where they were responsible for product, strategy, and operations of a $100 million kids gaming division.
In 2011, Andrew founded LootGenie, a mobile and social gaming platform company, where they designed the product concept and market strategy. Andrew also worked as the Managing Director at Bitwreck from 2002 to 2011, providing game industry consulting services in free-to-play, freemium, and premium model mobile, social, and casual games.
Earlier in their career, Andrew was the Vice President of Software Development at Unplugged Games from 2000 to 2001, where they oversaw key technology initiatives and managed the software engineering department. Andrew also served as the Director of Product Development at Uproar from 2000 to 2000, managing customer-facing application development initiatives. Additionally, they held the position of Director of Technology at Bottle Rocket from 1998 to 1999, where they created and led a high-efficiency technology department.
Throughout their career, Andrew has demonstrated expertise in game strategy, design, development, operations, and publishing. Andrew has a track record of improving project success metrics and building operational effectiveness across teams and partner studios.
Andrew Friedman earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, Psychology from Dartmouth College, where they studied from 1992 to 1996. Andrew then pursued higher education at The Wharton School from 2009 to 2011, obtaining their Master of Business Administration degree with a focus on Management and Entrepreneurship.
