Alan Bonfield

Alan Bonfield has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Alan is currently serving as the Head of Governance, Risk & Compliance at Big Picture Medical since November 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Director at Monmouth Partners Ltd, a healthcare advisory and information specialist, from August 2015 to November 2021. Alan also served as the Head of Information Governance & FOI at NHS Central Southern CSU from April 2013 to July 2015. In addition, Alan has held various roles such as CES Transition Programme Manager, Strategic Programme Lead - Data Governance, and Owner at organizations like South Central PCT Alliance, Rubikon Blue, and AMB Consulting Limited. Alan has also worked as a Project Manager at Amicus ITS and University Hospital Birmingham. Alan's expertise lies in healthcare advisory, information management, governance, and IT project management.

Alan Bonfield has a diverse education history. In 1998, they obtained a Certificate in Health Service Management from IHM. In 2000-2002, Alan pursued a Diploma in Business Management from Henley Business School. In 2003, they received the BSI7799 Lead Auditor certification in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from BSI Group. In 2009, they completed MSP - Managing Successful Programmes training from QA-IA Training - B'Ham. In 2011, they attained the Prince 2 Practitioner certification from The Knowledge Academy. Finally, in 2017, Alan obtained the HCISPP (HealthCare Information Security and Privacy Practitioner) certification from ISC(2). Additionally, Alan is also working towards the Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe certification from IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals, which they expect to earn in 2024.
