As Big Reuse and Big Initiatives, we are passionate about developing solutions to help fight climate change. Our prime focus is helping our communities strive for Zero Waste by developing circular economy solutions. Big Reuse: - diverts building materials, furniture and homegoods from the landfill at our reuse center - hosts green job training programs - operates the Compost Project hosted by Big Reuse to create compost for street trees and community gardens from NYC's organics waste stream - activates hundreds of volunteers to help green NYC - provides outreach for NYC's organics collection program reaching over 100,000 residents a year.
