Jennifer LaRue

Associate Vice President, Marketing at Big Sea

Jennifer LaRue has over 15 years of experience in marketing and communications. Jennifer began their career in 2006 as a Communications Associate at Rogerson Communities, where they served as the main liaison between the corporate office and 25 affiliated properties. Jennifer was responsible for coordinating the production of internal and external newsletter communication by writing articles, taking photographs and designing layouts, as well as assisting in the production of all marketing materials. In 2008, they worked as a Communications Assistant at the Institute for Business & Home Safety, where they developed all written content for the monthly external newsletter and wrote daily blog entries for the DisasterSafety.org website. From 2010-2011, LaRue worked as a Media Buyer/Planner and Media Assistant at Mediagistic, Inc., where they purchased commercial spots and media space for clients, researched and analyzed market trends, and negotiated rates on a CPP and CPM basis. From 2011-2014, LaRue was a Freelance Writer for Patch.com. From 2014-2016, they were a Business Consultant - Marketing & Promotions at Catalina USA, where they worked closely with cross-functional teams to identify insights that align with client objectives and utilized best ROI practices to increase top-line growth. From 2016-2017, LaRue was a Brand/Marketing Manager at Bisk, where they were responsible for the development and execution of brand strategy, annual marketing plans and budgets for non-profit educational institutions. Most recently, LaRue has been working at Big Sea since 2021, where they have held the roles of Associate Vice President, Marketing, Marketing Director, and Senior Marketing Strategist.

Jennifer LaRue has a diverse educational background. Jennifer attended Keene State College from 2000 to 2004, earning both a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and an Associate of Science in Chemical Dependency. In 2019, they completed an Advanced Specialized Certificate in Intercultural Management from the University of Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business. In 2020, they earned a Women in Leadership Certificate from the same institution. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including The Science of Well-Being from Yale University and Coursera (2022), Inbound Marketing and HubSpot Marketing Software from HubSpot Academy (2021).
