Naomi Parrella MD, FAAFP, FOMA, DABOM has a diverse and extensive work experience history. Currently, they serve as the Chief of Lifestyle Medicine and Director of Concierge Services at Rush University System for Health. In these roles, they provide leadership, strategic direction, and educational programming for a comprehensive weight loss and lifestyle management program. Naomi also facilitates individuals and groups towards meaningful goals and promotes holistic healthcare and wellness.

In addition, Dr. Parrella is the Chief Medical Officer at Zero Longevity Science, where they oversee medical operations. Naomi has also worked at Readout Health as Chief Medical Officer, providing medical reviews and establishing strategic vision.

Dr. Parrella has a strong background in education and mentorship. Naomi has served as an Associate Professor and Medical Director at Rush University Medical Center, mentoring medical students, residents, and health professional students in Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine. Naomi has also held teaching roles at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, where they mentored medical students, directed the Family Medicine clerkship, and taught clinical skills and patient safety.

Before their academic roles, Dr. Parrella worked as a Family Physician at Advocate Medical Group, previously having their own private practice. Naomi was also a Physician Leader at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, integral in the launch of a multidisciplinary medical weight management program.

Naomi Parrella obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the period from 1991 to 1995. Naomi then pursued their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine from 2003 to 2007. Following this, they completed their Family Medicine Residency Program at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital from 2007 to 2010. In terms of additional certifications, they became an Obesity Medicine Diplomate in 2013, received certification in Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine in 2012, and obtained their Family Medicine Diplomate certification in 2010. Naomi also holds various other certifications related to medical hypnosis, personal training, aerobics instruction, and licenses such as the Illinois Controlled Substance License and the US DEA Certificate.
