Generation Z Creative Council at Big Spaceship

Naki Franklin has a diverse range of work experience in the entertainment industry. They started their career as a Scripted Television Assistant at Creative Artists Agency, where they excelled in balancing high-volume work and creating organizational systems. They also worked as a Floating Assistant and Mailroom Clerk at the same company.

Naki then joined Dixon Whyte LLC as an Executive Assistant, where they assisted the CEO with various tasks including finding speaking engagements and conducting research.

In 2021, Naki had the opportunity to participate in the HBCU in LA program, where they were selected as part of the 2021 cohort and worked as a Production Designer and Wardrobe Designer for a short film.

They also interned at NBCUniversal Media, LLC as a Social Media and General Production Intern for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where they contributed to various aspects of the show's social media presence.

In 2022, Naki became a member of the Generation Z Creative Council at Big Spaceship, providing valuable insights and perspectives. They then joined Hillman Grad as a mentee in the Hillman Grad Mentorship Lab, where they received personalized instruction in television writing and gained networking opportunities.

Most recently, Naki has been working as a Script Reader at HARTBEAT. Throughout their work experience, Naki has demonstrated strong skills in organization, research, and creative problem-solving.

Naki Franklin's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in English (Creative Writing) from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, where they graduated summa cum laude with a GPA of 4.00/4.00. They also attended Montgomery College, studying Communication and Media Studies, and achieved a GPA of 4.00/4.00. Naki obtained their high school diploma from The Potomac School. Additionally, they completed a program called Girls Who Code in 2015 and received a Certificate of Completion.

In terms of additional certifications, Naki obtained several throughout the years. They earned a certification in Creating and Managing a YouTube Channel from LinkedIn in 2023. In 2021, they received a certification in Learning Screenwriting with Final Draft, also from LinkedIn. In 2020, Naki obtained certifications in AT&T Summer Learning Academy Extern from AT&T, Writing Articles from LinkedIn, and Digital Body Language from LinkedIn. In 2020, they also completed a certification in Creating a Short Film: Working on Set from LinkedIn. In 2019, Naki received certifications in Emerging Leaders Certification from Truist Leadership Institute and Writing a Compelling Blog Post from LinkedIn.
