Michael Gold

Michael Gold serves as the Chief Legal Officer at Big Y Foods, Inc. since January 2007, overseeing the Legal, Risk Management, and Food Safety departments while managing government affairs at all levels. Prior to this role, Michael was Principal at The Danali Group from 2004 to 2007, providing consulting services in legal and human resources matters. Michael also held the position of Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary at Shaw's Supermarkets from 2000 to 2004, directing legal matters for a large supermarket chain. Earlier, Michael was Vice President and General Counsel at Merkert Enterprises/Marketing Specialists from 1996 to 2000. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Quantitative Methods from Babson College and a Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law.
