Ivor Caldwell

Ivor Caldwell has an extensive work experience spanning over multiple companies and roles. Ivor is currently the Head of Software Engineering at BigChange, a position they have held since 2023. Prior to that, Ivor worked at Infinity Works where they held various positions including Director of Practices, Technical Director, Engineering Practice Lead, Principal Consultant, and Senior Consultant. At Infinity Works, Ivor was responsible for leading a team of Practice Leads and ensuring technical excellence across the organization. Before their time at Infinity Works, Ivor worked as a Solutions Architect at Sky Betting and Gaming, Daisy Plc, and Tempest Technology. Ivor also held roles as a Lead Developer at Daisy Plc and Tempest Technology. Earlier in their career, Ivor worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Datong, Barco, and Concept Systems.

Ivor Caldwell earned a BSc 1st class degree in Astrophysics from The University of Edinburgh in the years 1994 to 1998. Following this, they pursued an MSc in Information Processing and Neural Networks, obtaining a Distinction, from King's College London, from 1999 to 2000. Prior to their university education, Ivor attended Fortrose Academy for a Regular/General High School/Secondary Diploma Program. Additionally, they obtained certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in September 2016, and Intermediate and Practitioner Certificates in Enterprise and Solutions Architecture from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, in 2014.
