Beth Orcutt

Beth Orcutt is a Senior Research Scientist at Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences. Beth has also worked as a Postdoc at Aarhus University, a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Southern California, and a guest scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Marine Microbiology. Beth Orcutt obtained their PhD from the University of Georgia in 2007, where they worked on the microbial biogeochemistry of marine methane seeps and gas hydrates.

Beth Orcutt has a Ph.D. in Marine Sciences from The University of Georgia and a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from The University of Georgia.

Beth Orcutt reports to Deborah Bronk, President & CEO. They are on a team with Peter Countway - Senior Research Scientist, Microbial Ecologist, José A. Fernández Robledo - Senior Research Scientist, Molecular Biologist, and Julia Brown - Research Scientist.
