Dr. F. Naureen Sheikh

Dr. F. Naureen Sheikh, PhD has extensive work experience in the medical and clinical field. Dr. F. Naureen began their career in 1997 as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the University of Leicester, where they focused on cardiology. Dr. F. Naureen then moved on to work as a Visiting Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Osaka University, specializing in gene therapy.

In 2001, Dr. Sheikh transitioned into the clinical research field, working as a Clinical Research Monitor at PPD and as a Clinical Research Scientist at Chiltern International and AstraZeneca. Dr. F. Naureen then joined Medpace in 2003, where they worked in study management.

Dr. Sheikh's career progressed, and they joined Medtronic in 2005, taking on roles in clinical research management, therapy program management, and clinical quality and learning management. Dr. F. Naureen'swork at Medtronic involved various medical devices, including drug-eluting coronary stents and spinal biologics.

From 2014 to 2017, Dr. Sheikh worked as the Senior Director of Clinical Operations at Versartis, Inc., focusing on clinical trials and operations.

In 2018, Dr. Sheikh joined Bigfoot Biomedical as the Vice President of Medical & Clinical Affairs, where they currently hold this position.

Dr. F. Naureen Sheikh, PhD holds a Bachelor's degree (Hons) in Microbiology from the University of Wales, College of Cardiff. Dr. F. Naureen then went on to pursue a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Wales College of Medicine, Cardiff. Additionally, they have completed an MSc in Analytical Biochemistry from the University of Dundee.
