John Overturf

John Overturf is an experienced professional with a diverse background in education and business consulting. Currently serving as an English Second Language Teacher at the Bilingual Education Institute since July 2020, John specializes in teaching English language learners across all levels. Previously, John held various roles, including Business Consultant and Sales at Baxten, where software solutions were developed for clients, and Merchant Services Sales at Woodforest National Bank, enhancing product knowledge and driving sales. Earlier experience includes teaching 5th and 6th grade Math, Science, and Social Studies at Aldine ISD, as well as working as a Merchant Sales Officer at BBVA Compass and a Main Street Director for the City of Ishpeming. John holds a Master's in Public Administration from Northern Michigan University and a Bachelor's in Communication from DePaul University.
