Veronica Melgar

Veronica Melgar has extensive experience in education and community service, currently serving on the Member Advisory Board at Huntington Youth Bureau and as VP of Education for Toastmasters International in Huntington, NY. Since 2003, Veronica has been a member and chair of the Town of Huntington Hispanic Task Force, focusing on workshop planning, community advocacy, and outreach. In the Brentwood Union Free School District, a bilingual evaluator and educator since 2000, Veronica specializes in language testing and academic evaluations for English Language Learners in grades K-12. Additionally, as a bilingual early intervention teacher with Bilinguals Inc since 1997, Veronica provides developmental assessments for children aged 0-3. Veronica's earlier career includes serving as a SPED teacher with the NYC Department of Education. Academic qualifications include a School District Administration degree from LIU Post and a Master's in Elementary Education and Bilingual Teaching from Queens College.
