Aysu Uygur

Aysu Uygur, PhD, currently serves as a Senior Strategy Officer at the Gates Foundation, focusing on Malaria and Neglected Tropical Diseases within Global Health since August 2021. Previously, Aysu held the position of Project Leader and Consultant at the Boston Consulting Group from January 2017 to August 2021 and briefly worked as a Strategy Officer during a secondment at the Gates Foundation from February 2020 to March 2021. Aysu co-founded and co-produced content for Bilim Kazani Science Communications and has worked as a freelance writer from December 2009 to August 2017. Aysu also held a Post Doctoral Research Fellow position at Harvard Medical School and completed a PhD in Genetics at Harvard University, with a dissertation on the Evolution of Morphology. Aysu's academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Brandeis University and a Mini MBA from Harvard Business School.
