Clarence Wardell III

Clarence Wardell III is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in economic mobility, data, and equity. Currently serving as Deputy Director and Senior Program Officer in Economic Mobility and Opportunity at the Gates Foundation, Clarence's recent roles include Visiting Practitioner at PiTech, Visiting Fellow at the Center for Racial Justice, and contributions to the Rockefeller Foundation's Bellagio Center. Prior to these positions, Clarence held significant roles at The White House as Chief Data and Equity Officer and Senior Advisor for Policy Implementation. Clarence earned a PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a BSE in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan, actively participating in various organizations during academic tenure.
