Gargee Ghosh leads the team responsible for building relationships with government, private philanthropists, and civil society in order to increase awareness, action, and resources devoted to education, global development, and health priorities. She also oversees the foundation’s regional offices and strategic presence in Europe and East Asia.
Prior to her current role, Gargee acted as director of both the Development Policy & Finance and Program Advocacy & Communications teams, through which she worked with international finance and economic decision-makers and led the development and implementation of advocacy and communications strategies for the foundation’s priorities.
Gargee previously held senior positions at McKinsey & Company, Google, and the Center for Global Development. She serves on the board of Camfed USA and previously served a two-year term on President Obama’s Global Development Council. She holds graduate degrees in development economics from the University of Oxford and in international relations (MSFS) from Georgetown, and an undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Victoria in Canada.
