Krishna Thacker

Krishna Thacker currently serves as a Senior Program Officer at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation since January 2023. Previously, Krishna held various leadership roles at MetLife Foundation from March 2014 to January 2023, including Assistant Vice President and Director for the Asia Region, where responsibilities included leading philanthropic initiatives and executing strategies that disbursed over $70 million in grants, benefiting 9 million low- and moderate-income individuals. Prior to MetLife, Krishna was the Practice Group Leader for G2P Payments and Digital Financial Services at MicroSave from January 2008 to February 2014, managing numerous client engagements in these sectors. Additionally, experience includes serving as a Research Associate at IFMR from October 2006 to November 2007 and as Assistant Project Coordinator at Kutch Mahila Vikas Sangathan from October 2005 to October 2006, focusing on microfinance and applied research in financial products for SMEs.
