Paul Deutsch

Paul Deutsch has a diverse and extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries. In their most recent role at the Bill & Melinda Gates Medical Research Institute, they are responsible for pharmaceutical process development and manufacturing. Prior to this, they worked at UCB Pharma where they held various positions, including Scientific Fellow in Innovation & Collaborations, Sr Director & Head of Chemical Process R&D, and Director of Global Process Improvement. Before joining UCB Pharma, Paul was the Director of API Development & Production at DOV Pharmaceutical, Inc. Paul also held leadership roles at Cambrex, North Brunswick, where they served as Director of Quality, Facilities & Operations, and Director of Research & Development. Earlier in their career, Paul worked at Aerojet Fine Chemical as a Group Leader and later as a Manager in Process Research & Development. Paul began their career at Lonza as a Process Development Chemist and eventually became Manager of Process Development. Throughout their career, Paul has demonstrated expertise in innovation, collaboration, process development, and organizational transformation.

Paul Deutsch holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Rochester. Before that, they obtained a Master's degree in Chemistry from Lehigh University and a Bachelor's degree, also in Chemistry, from the same institution. However, specific start and end years for each degree are not provided.
