Steve Garay has a diverse work experience across various industries. Steve began their career as a Purchasing/Inventory Associate at Fujirebio Diagnostics, Inc. in 2014. Steve then served as a Procurement Analyst at Incyte, where they supported sourcing managers and improved operational metrics. In 2018, Steve worked as a Non-Commissioned Officer in the United States Army Reserve, focusing on leadership and program management. Steve also held roles as a Procurement Category Manager at Willis Towers Watson and a Senior Procurement Specialist at WuXi Advanced Therapies.
Steve joined DePuy Synthes Companies in 2019 as a Senior Sourcing Manager, leading supplier evaluations and negotiations for multiple projects. Most recently, Steve is currently employed at the Bill & Melinda Gates Medical Research Institute as a Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Labs Services Ops, responsible for managing the contracting workflow and coordinating with stakeholders.

Steve Garay has a diverse education history. Steve holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from West Chester University of Pennsylvania, which they earned between 2021 and 2023. Prior to that, Steve served in the US Army Reserve as a Veterinary Food Inspection Specialist from 2014 to 2021. Although they did not obtain a specific degree during this time, their field of study was focused on Food Inspection.
In 2010, Steve enrolled at DeVry University, where they completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services. This program lasted from 2010 to 2012.
Before attending DeVry, Steve earned an Associate's degree from Montgomery County Community College. Steve studied Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies during their time there, which spanned from 2001 to 2003.
