Mike Gertrudes

Mike Gertrudes is the current VP of Engineering at Billie. Prior to this, they were a Senior Recruiter at Moda Operandi, Inc from January 2020 to February 2021. There, they oversaw global recruitment and talent acquisition processes, and was responsible for developing and distributing in-depth reports on policy and system changes, as well as weekly hiring updates. Mike also spearheaded the implementation of Slack to increase internal communications and support employee resource groups.

From January 2018 to January 2020, Mike was a Talent Partner at Flatiron School. In this role, they were responsible for sourcing, vetting, and managing vendor relationships. Mike also led special projects and initiatives from concept to completion.

Prior to their role at Flatiron School, Mike was a Talent Acquisition Associate at WeWork from May 2017 to January 2020. In this role, they were responsible for sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates. Mike also developed and distributed in-depth reports on policy and system changes, and weekly hiring updates.

Mike Gertrudes' educational career includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Fashion Entrepreneurship from LIM College and a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Fashion/Apparel Design from Pratt Institute.

They work with Toni Cruthirds - Director of Product, Diana Hai Pham - Director of Customer Experience, and Deb Rosen - Director of Production. Mike Gertrudes reports to Georgina Gooley, Co-Founder.
