Hammed Kolapo

Hammed Kolapo has a strong background in data governance and management. Hammed started their career in 2014 as a Data Administrator at Nigerian Tulip International Colleges (NTIC) and worked there until 2016. In 2015, they joined ISURF GLOBAL SERVICES as a Data Officer, where they developed and implemented data collection systems and ensured data integrity and accuracy for multiple projects.

In 2019, Hammed joined 54gene as a Data Governance and Quality Manager. In this role, they implemented data quality management systems, reduced customer-reported errors by 70%, and managed a team of data quality personnel to maintain consistent data quality across systems.

From 2021 to 2023, Hammed worked at Precision Proco as a Data Governance Manager. Hammed advocated for a change in the organization's data culture, facilitated the creation of business glossaries, and proposed a federated data governance organization model. Hammed also defined the Data Governance framework required for transitioning to a new platform.

Currently, Hammed is working at Billigence as a Data Governance Consultant, starting in 2023.

Hammed Kolapo completed their Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology at the University of Lagos from 2013 to 2017. Before that, they obtained their WASSCE (West African Senior School Certificate Examination) from Federal Government College, Ogbomoso between 2003 and 2009. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Science (MS) degree in Psychology at the University of Hertfordshire, starting from 2021.

Furthermore, Hammed Kolapo has obtained several certifications from Collibra. These certifications include Collibra Data Steward Certification, Collibra Integration Engineer Certification, Collibra Solution Architect Certification, and Collibra Workflow Engineer Certification. These certifications were obtained in June 2023.
