Byron Felts has over 20 years of work experience in the IT industry. Byron is currently working at Billtrust as a Lead Network Engineer since March 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as a Senior Network Engineer at the same company, where they provided systems and networking support for the entire Billtrust network. Before joining Billtrust, Byron worked at Pythian as a Site Reliability Engineer from August 2015 to January 2021. In this role, they had a broad skill set and worked with a wide range of clients, providing managed IT services in networking, cloud, and on-prem environments. Before Pythian, Byron worked at WOW! Business, they worked at E Solutions Corporation as a Windows Systems Administrator from August 2008 to November 2012. Byron also gained experience at Business Objects (an SAP company) as a Technical Engineer from December 2005 to August 2008, Inline Studios as an IT Director/Consultant from January 2004 to August 2008, Vortech Hosting as a Windows System Administrator from February 2005 to December 2005, Xtreme Shopping Network/Premier Estate Liquidators as an Interim IT Director from March 2002 to December 2003, FSIS, Inc as a Military Logistics Account Coordinator (US National Guard Contractor) from February 2002 to December 2002, and Bright House Networks (Time Warner Cable) as a Commercial Broadband Technical Support Lead Technician from January 2000 to January 2002. Byron has a strong background in network engineering, systems engineering, and infrastructure administration.

Byron Felts attended Tavares High School in Tavares, FL from 1995 to 1998. Byron did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study during this time. In addition to their high school education, Byron has obtained several certifications in the field of technology. Byron became a VMware Certified Professional 6 Data Center Virtualization in December 2016, followed by VMware Certified Professional 6.5 (Data Center Virtualization) in December 2018. Byron also earned the title of F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator (F5-CA) from F5 Networks in December 2019. Recently, in January 2020, they became a SolarWinds Certified Professional (SCP NPM). Byron's most recent certification is the Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA) from Palo Alto Networks, which they obtained in December 2020.
