Douglas Barrett has a strong background in various roles within the education and religious sectors. Douglas began their career as a Math Teacher at Canon McMillan School District in 2002 and worked there until 2007. Douglas then transitioned to the Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church as the Director of Leadership Development from 2007 to 2008. Currently, Douglas is working at the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, where they started in 2008 as a Senior Regional Manager. Douglas has since been promoted to the position of Director of Strategic Partnerships in June 2017.

Douglas Barrett obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics from Penn State University from 1997 to 2001. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Organizational Leadership from Geneva College, from 2005 to 2007.
