Hannah Garvey

Hannah Garvey currently serves as the Lead Privacy Counsel at Binance, leading a global team of privacy lawyers since October 2022. Previously, Hannah held the position of EU Privacy Counsel, where responsibilities included building and implementing a privacy framework to mitigate data privacy risks across various jurisdictions. Prior experience includes developing and enhancing the global privacy program at Ancestry and providing legal compliance advice at Mason Hayes & Curran as a Privacy Associate. Hannah's early career involved roles such as a legal intern in the Privacy Team at Mason Hayes & Curran and a legal assistant at LinkedIn, focusing on data protection audits. Educational qualifications include a BCL (European) from University College Dublin, a Diplôme d'Etudes du Droit de l'Union Européenne from Université Toulouse 1 Capitole, and completion of the FE-1 Examinations at the Law Society of Ireland.
