Dan Merns

Dan Merns has a diverse work experience, starting as an Assistant Buyer at Bed Bath & Beyond in 2007. During their time there, they successfully grew the department's E-commerce sales and implemented a collateral program to promote cross-channel collection sales. Dan also negotiated with vendors to generate sales and cost savings.

In 2010, Dan worked as a Summer Associate - Origination at The Riverside Company, where they wrote screening memos and analyzed potential portfolio companies. Dan also developed a peer company portfolio spreadsheet for competitor analysis.

In 2012, Dan founded MerchantFuse, a digital marketplace platform for trade show organizers. Dan built and launched the platform, enabling organizers to create their own marketplaces.

From 2014, Dan joined Bindo, where they held various roles. As Vice President of Sales, they sourced and secured deals with major customers, sold technology solutions to retail, restaurant, and hotel operators, and managed sales for the North America business. Dan also launched the Bindo Reseller Program and established partnerships with over 50 resellers.

Lastly, in 2022, Dan founded Submatic, where they currently serve as the Founder. Further details about their role are not provided.

Dan Merns received their BA degree in Economics and Spanish from Trinity College-Hartford in the years 2002 to 2006. Later, they pursued an MBA in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from Columbia Business School from 2010 to 2012.
