Senior Lead Scientist at Bio-Images Drug Delivery

Tariq Islam has worked in various roles across a number of companies since 2011. Tariq began their career as a Research Assistant & Academic Support at the University of Greenwich in 2011. In 2015, they moved to the University of Strathclyde as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate, where they were involved in the secondary pharmaceutical processing at the EPSRC Center for Continuous Manufacturing and Crystallization. In 2018, they became a Project Scientist at CMAC Future Manufacturing Research Hub, where they were involved in setting up a process and delivering experimental data to data scientists and modelers. Currently, they are a Lead Scientist at BDD Pharma, where they are responsible for formulation development for early phase clinical studies.

Tariq Islam has a comprehensive education history. From 2005 to 2009, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy at the University of Science and Technology Chittagong. In 2010 to 2011, they completed a Master's Degree in Pharmaceutical Analysis at Sheffield Hallam University. Tariq then went on to complete a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Greenwich from 2011 to 2015. Finally, in 2015 to 2018, Tariq Islam acquired a PG Certificate in Researcher Development from the University of Strathclyde.
