Itzel Vela Hernandez

Itzel Vela Hernandez is an experienced Environmental Health & Safety Specialist II at Bio-Rad Laboratories since June 2022, with prior roles including Associate Environmental and Compliance Consultant at AMB Consultores from August 2021 to March 2022, and Environmental Health Safety Intern at the University of Georgia's Environmental Safety Division from January 2021 to August 2021. Additional experience includes work as a Junior Consultant at Triple Impact Consulting and as a Research Assistant at The University of Georgia. Itzel also completed the National Environmental Public Health Internship Program (NEPHIP) with the Rhode Island Department of Health in summer 2020. Academic qualifications include dual Bachelor’s degrees in Environmental Health and General Biology from The University of Georgia, earned in July 2021.
