Matthew Werner

Matthew Werner has extensive work experience in compliance and legal roles within the healthcare industry. Matthew most recently served as the SVP, Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer at Bio-Rad Laboratories, where they were responsible for re-architecting the company's global compliance program. Prior to that, they held various leadership positions at Blue Shield of California, AdvancedMD, and Ventana Medical Systems, where they developed and implemented compliance programs. Matthew also worked as General Counsel at Pacific Medical, overseeing the legal department and compliance program. Matthew began their career as an associate at Ater Wynne LLP, Miller Nash Graham & Dunn LLP, and Harrang Long Gary Rudnick P.C., focusing on health law, corporate law, and commercial legal issues in the healthcare sector.

Matthew Werner completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology from Reed College, where they studied from 1987 to 1991. Matthew later pursued a Juris Doctor (J.D) degree and a certificate in Environmental and Natural Resources Law from the Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College, graduating in 1996. Additionally, Matthew obtained various licenses to practice law in Oregon, Washington, California, and Arizona. Matthew also obtained certifications in healthcare compliance and information privacy.
