Zafar Ali

Zafar Ali has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of data engineering and data management. Zafar has held various roles in different companies, starting from 2010 to the present.

Zafar began their career at British Gas as a Data Developer, where they were involved in projects related to data cleansing, reporting, dashboard development, and migration.

Zafar then moved on to Heathrow, where they worked as a Lead Data Migration specialist. In this role, they were responsible for data analysis, transformation, business analysis, and testing scripts for the replacement of the existing cost and schedule systems.

Next, Zafar joined Worldpay as a Lead BI and Analytics professional. Their responsibilities included data cleansing, data quality projects, mentoring analysts, and driving the organization-wide definition and reporting of KPIs.

Zafar then worked at National Grid as a BI and DWH Developer, where they contributed to the delivery of business intelligence and integration of disparate data sources.

At McKesson, Zafar served as the Chief Technical Architect, focusing on implementing intelligent and comprehensive data warehouse systems for management and decision support.

Following this, Zafar joined Refinitiv, an LSEG business, as a Data & Reporting Manager, where they provided consultancy services, led design and direction of frameworks and tools, and ran proof-of-concept projects on new technologies.

Zafar continued their career as a Senior Technical Lead at the Arizona Department of Corrections, where they provided technical leadership and support.

Zafar then transitioned to Integrity Marketing Group LLC, where they worked as a Data Architect. Zafar implemented the vision and standards for the data warehouse, reporting, and analytical platforms for Next-Generation Digital Insurance.

Most recently, Zafar joined AIMS Training & Consulting Ltd as a Senior Database Engineer. Zafar contributed to the design, development, testing, delivery, and support of all BI and data solutions, as well as served as an Information Steward.

Currently, Zafar is working as a Principal Consultant/Data Engineer at Bio-Rad Laboratories, where they apply their expertise in data engineering.
