Eilidh McCormack

Eilidh McCormack has a considerable work experience in various fields, starting in 2012 as a Sailing Instructor at the Royal Yachting Association and serving as a Carer at CrossReach from 2013 to 2015. In 2016, they began working at Halfords, where they held several roles, including Customer Service Advisor, Bicycle Mechanic and Technician. From 2019 to 2020, Eilidh served as a Genetics Laboratory Assistant at the University of Aberdeen and then worked as a Laboratory Scientist and Robotics Technician at The Forensic Institute from 2021 to 2021. In 2022, they joined LumiraDx, where they worked as a Laboratory Technician, Laboratory Manager and led the blood separation strip design team. Eilidh left in 2023 to work as a Laboratory Automation Specialist (Scientist III) at BioAscent. Eilidh has extensive experience in research and development, assay development, robotics, and customer service.

Eilidh McCormack completed their Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science with a focus on Physiology and Genetics from the University of Aberdeen between 2018 and 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Certificate in Medicine from the same institution between 2015 and 2018. Eilidh has earned several additional certifications, including an SQL for Data Science certification from Mimo, a Disclosure Scotland PVG certificate, and a Data Scientist with Python certification from DataCamp. Eilidh has also obtained qualifications in Interpretive Software, Cytech Technical Three, Basic Life Support, and Test de Connaissance du Français (CEFR Grade B1) from Thermo Fisher Scientific, Cytech, NHS Scotland, and France Éducation international respectively.
