Phil Jones

Phil Jones has over 30 years of experience in the life sciences industry. Phil began their career in 1986 at Roche as the Head of Department. In 2001, they moved to Organon and became an Executive Director. Phil then held the same position at Schering-Plough Research Institute from 2007 to 2009 and at Merck from 2009 to 2011. From 2011 to 2013, they served as an Independent Consultant providing consultancy and expert review on all aspects of medicinal chemistry. In 2013, they were appointed as the Director of the European Screening Centre at Newhouse. Since 2018, they have been the Chief Scientific Advisor and Chief Scientific Officer at BioAscent, a leading provider of integrated drug discovery services.

Phil Jones attended The University of Manchester from 1978 to 1984, where they obtained a PhD, MSc, and BSc (Hons) in Chemistry. Phil then attended Imperial College London from 1984 to 1986, studying Synthetic Chemistry.
