Emily Arner

Emily Arner, PhD, is a highly experienced researcher currently serving as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Vanderbilt University Medical Center since December 2021, focusing on the role of epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition in metastatic renal cell carcinoma. Additionally, since July 2023, Emily has held the position of Staff Writer at BioCentury Inc. Prior experience includes work as a PhD Candidate at UT Southwestern Medical Center from June 2017 to November 2021, where research centered on tumor cell biology, the tumor microenvironment, and metastasis. Earlier roles at The Scripps Research Institute and Vanderbilt University Medical Center involved studying genome stability and patient sample analysis, respectively. Emily holds a PhD in Oncology and Cancer Biology from UT Southwestern Medical Center and a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Connecticut College.
