Abid Karim

Abid Karim is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. Currently serving as the Senior Vice President & General Manager for Europe at BioCryst Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since April 2016, Abid has held significant positions in previous companies, including Vice President of the Metabolics Business Unit EMEA at Alexion Pharma/Synageva Biopharma and CEO at Medco Health Solutions UK. With a robust background at ProStrakan and various leadership roles at Novartis, Pfizer, and Astra Pharmaceuticals, Abid has developed a strong foundation in commercial operations and sales management. Abid holds an MBA from The University of Manchester and a BSc in Biological Sciences from the University of Wolverhampton.
