Melisa Shiroda

Melisa Shiroda serves as the Director and Senior Corporate Counsel at BioCryst Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since April 2022, managing a diverse array of transactional matters, including contract review and negotiation for various commercial agreements related to BioCryst products. Prior to this role, Melisa was the Senior Corporate Counsel at Curia from July 2019 to April 2022, where legal leadership was provided across the Drug Product manufacturing business, focusing on reducing legal exposure and achieving commercial objectives. Additional experience includes positions at AbbVie as Manager of Technology Licensing & Collaborations, and at Merck as a Senior Contract Coordinator and Medicinal Chemist. Melisa holds a J.D. from Villanova University and advanced degrees in Organic Chemistry and Chemistry from The University of Texas at Austin and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, respectively.
