Philip George

Philip George was appointed Chief Strategy Officer of BioCryst in September 2022. In this role, Mr. George is responsible for overseeing the development, communication, and execution of the long-term strategy for the company.

Mr. George joined BioCryst with more than 30 years of experience in management consulting, working with approximately 30 different healthcare companies over the course of his career. He began his consulting career at Accenture (formally Andersen Consulting) in 1991, where he provided strategy and operational counsel to companies in the biopharmaceutical industry. While at Accenture, Mr. George held roles of increasing responsibility, including leading the firm’s North American Pharmaceutical and Medical Products strategy group. Following his time at Accenture, he has served as an independent consultant, focusing almost exclusively on working with early- to mid-stage biopharma companies.

Mr. George received his BSc from the University of Bristol and his M.B.A. from London Business School in the United Kingdom.
