Zoya Atiq has a strong background in engineering and biomedical devices. Zoya started their work experience in 2020 as a COVID-19 Research Literature Review and Analysis Intern at the University of Michigan. In 2021, they worked as an Engineering Manager Intern at EsurgiBiotech, where they managed engineering interns and led design and implementation projects for the JointSpy device. Zoya also submitted a successful NIH proposal application for funding consideration. Later in 2021, Zoya joined Tools for Surgery, LLC as a Biomedical Device Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for various tasks, including spearheading a successful FDA submission, designing CAD models, overseeing testing, managing GMP records, and ensuring FDA compliance. Currently, Zoya is working as a Medical Device Compliance Engineer at BioElectronics Corporation, starting in 2022.
Zoya Atiq completed their Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University at Buffalo, from 2017 to 2021. Before that, they obtained a High School Diploma in Biology/Biological Sciences from DPS Agra. In addition to their formal education, Zoya Atiq has also obtained certifications in the field of medical device awareness and quality management systems for medical devices. Zoya earned the Fundamentals of Medical Device Awareness Single Audit Program (MDSAP) certification from TÜV SÜD in April 2022 and the ISO 13485:2016 - Quality Management Systems for Medical Devices certification from Alison - Empower Yourself in March 2022.
