Jason Nielson has a background in Biochemistry, having obtained a Bachelor of Science from Brigham Young University and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Utah. With experience in research and development at BioFire Defense and as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Utah, Jason has worked on modeling mitochondrial diseases in zebrafish using CRISPR-Cas9 technology. Jason has also conducted chemical screens for therapeutic potential and has experience in stress-responsive mitochondrial protein quality control. Additionally, Jason has worked as a Research Assistant and a Student Administrative Assistant.
