Scott Pickett

Scott Pickett, CFI, has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Scott is currently working as the Market Segment Director at BioFlyte, Inc. Scott'sprevious role was as the Senior Career Coach and Program Manager for the Security Technology Transition MBA Program at The George Washington University School of Business. In this role, they provided senior career coaching for MBA students with a focus on emerging technologies and their integration into the government mission space.

Before joining the university, Scott worked as an Instructor and Speaker at Wicklander-Zulawski & Associates, where they trained law enforcement, HR personnel, security professionals, and Fortune 500 companies on non-confrontational interview and interrogation techniques. Scott also provided instruction for Lead Homicide Investigator courses.

Scott has experience in security management as well, having served as the Director of Security at The Compass Church. Scott also held the position of Director of Homeland Security & Public Safety Solutions at Tsymmetry, a federal business integrator specializing in IT solutions.

Prior to their civilian career, Scott had a distinguished tenure with the Federal Air Marshal Service, where they retired as an Assistant Supervisory Air Marshal in Charge. In this position, they were responsible for leading and overseeing intelligence, administrative, training, and operational requirements for the Chicago Field Office. Scott also collaborated on strategic planning with headquarters.

Scott's career began in law enforcement, first as a Police Officer with the Dallas Police Department and later as a Supervisory Special Agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms.

Additionally, Scott has a connection to the Naval Postgraduate School as an alumnus.

Scott Pickett, CFI, obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Police Administration from Eastern Kentucky University in the period from 1981 to 1986. Following this, they pursued their Master's Degree in Homeland Defense and Security from Naval Postgraduate School from 2007 to 2008. In addition to their educational background, Pickett obtained their certification as a Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI) from the Center for Interviewer Standards & Assessments, Ltd. in November 2016.
