Antoni Sousa

Antoni Sousa, MBA CPHQ, has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Antoni currently holds the position of Sr. Director, Quality and Patient Safety at Biofourmis since January 2023. Prior to this, they were the Director, Quality and Patient Safety at the same company from May 2021 to January 2023.

Before joining Biofourmis, Antoni served as the Chief Technology Officer at MonitorMe from April 2019 to May 2021. In this role, they were responsible for driving the product vision and technical strategy for the Telemedicine platform. Antoni also played a key role in building company-wide policies and technical direction.

From August 2014 to April 2019, Antoni worked as the Director of Web and Interface Innovation at Marist College. Here, they brought their expertise in web development and interface design to drive innovation and improve user experiences.

Prior to that, they held positions at WRS Health as Lead Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer. In these roles, they developed new features, integrated third-party systems into the EMR and Practice Management System, and oversaw the day-to-day operations of overseas developers.

Earlier in their career, Antoni worked as a Software Engineer at Robert Half Technology, where they built custom PHP applications based on client specifications. Antoni also gained experience as an IT Administrator at Sono-Tek Corporation and as a Contract Web Developer at Marvel Entertainment.

Antoni's career started at Associates of Clifton Park, where they worked as an IT Tech. Antoni possesses a strong technical background and has consistently demonstrated their ability to drive innovation, lead teams, and deliver results.

Antoni Sousa holds a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from Rochester Institute of Technology, with a focus on Business. They also have a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Mount Saint Mary College. Antoni Sousa has obtained additional certifications such as Disney's Approach to Employee Engagement, Disney's Approach to Leadership Excellence, Disney's Approach to Quality Service, and Pathways Leadership Development Graduate from the CIO Executive Council. They are also a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality® (CPHQ) through the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ), obtained in December 2021.
