Sara Appelgren

Sara Appelgren is a seasoned professional in the fields of nutrition and science, currently serving as the Scientific Affairs Manager at BioGaia AB since August 2017, where responsibilities include translating scientific data for various applications. Prior to this role, Sara worked at Semper AB from March 2012 to August 2017 as a Product Specialist/Nutritionist, focusing on providing information and education to healthcare professionals in child health care, particularly regarding infant formula and probiotic products. Earlier experience includes a position as Konsumentrådgivare, delivering consumer advice and managing quality assessments within Semper. From March 2003 to November 2009, Sara was a Research Scientist at Medivir AB, specializing in the expression and analysis of recombinant proteins for various assays. Academically, Sara holds a Master of Science in Nutrition from Stockholm University and a Master of Science in Chemistry from Karlstad University.
