Kate Henry is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in immunology and gene therapy, currently serving as a Senior Scientist in the Gene Therapy Accelerator Unit at Biogen since July 2013. In this role, Kate focuses on identifying and characterizing signaling pathways involved in autoimmune diseases to develop therapeutic treatments, utilizing both human primary cells and murine samples. Prior experience includes positions at Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics as a Cell Line Development Engineer II, and as a Graduate Researcher at Emory University, where research concentrated on immunology and molecular pathogenesis. Kate holds a PhD in Pharmacology from Boston University, along with an M.S. in Immunology and Molecular Pathogenesis from Emory University and a B.S. in Biology from Brandeis University.
