Kathryn Lee

Kathryn Lee is a Senior Scientist in Functional Models & Cell Physiology at Biogen since November 2021, previously serving as a Scientist in the same area. Kathryn's expertise encompasses electrophysiology and biochemistry, honed during time as a Postdoctoral Scholar at Tufts University School of Medicine from September 2016 to November 2021, where contributions to the AstraZeneca-Tufts Lab of Neuroscience focused on validating anti-seizure compounds in rodent models. Kathryn attained a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Tufts University, investigating the anti-seizure efficacy of a small-molecule kinase inhibitor in animal models. Additional experience includes serving as a Senior Associate Editor for the Journal of Emerging Investigators, facilitating peer-review processes for student research, and various research roles at Bucknell University and Penn State University, contributing to publications in developmental neurobiology and therapeutic strategies for stroke. Leadership capabilities are demonstrated through roles as President of Students for Asian Awareness and as a Common Ground Diversity Facilitator at Bucknell University.
