Lauren Varela

Lauren Varela is an accomplished HR professional with extensive experience in human resources management. Currently serving as the Director, HR Business Partner for Medical & Development Units at Biogen since May 2020, Lauren has progressed through various HR roles within the company, including HR Business Partner for different divisions and Senior Human Resources Manager. Prior to Biogen, Lauren worked at Intarcia Therapeutics, Inc. as a Human Resources professional and held multiple roles at J.P. Morgan as an HR Business Partner in the Corporate & Investment Bank. Lauren’s early career includes a Human Resources internship at CVS Health. Educated at Harvard University with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Lauren also graduated from Notre Dame Academy in Hingham.
