Marta Nevalainen

Marta Nevalainen is a Senior Scientist at Biogen, with expertise in medicinal chemistry focused on small molecule preparation for neurology and immunology, and contributions to lead optimization for a CNS kinase target for MS. Previously, Marta held the role of Senior Scientific Investigator at H3 Biomedicine, where novel precision therapies targeting splicing factors and kinase targets for cancer treatment were designed and synthesized. At Infinity Pharmaceuticals, Marta worked as Lead Senior Scientist, synthesizing small molecule inhibitors for oncology targets and engaging in a joint research collaboration with Novartis. Marta's educational background includes a Post-Doctoral degree in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from both Scripps Research and Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan, as well as a Ph.D., M.Sc., and B.Sc. in Organic Chemistry and Chemistry from Universitat Ramon Llull.
