Anthony Gentile

Anthony Gentile is the current Director of Clinical Operations & Program Finance at Biohaven Pharmaceuticals. Anthony has over 27 years of experience in finance, with their previous company being Bristol-Myers Squibb. While at Bristol-Myers Squibb, they were the Finance Manager for Antibiotic, HIV, HCV, Thrombosis, Heart Failure, Oncology, Metabolic, Fibrosis and Neuroscience drug development programs. Anthony was also the finance lead for the Opdivo and Empliciti hematology programs. Gentile was responsible for the quarterly financial close by ensuring accurate financial expense recognition of multiple R&D programs. Anthony performed data analysis using Hyperion Smartview / Essbase and collaborated with Business Development on due diligence activities by calculating development cost estimates of targeted acquisitions. In addition, Gentile developed and conducted financial training for Protocol Managers and Operation Leads. Anthony also trained and mentored new Finance Managers. Gentile represented Finance in the design, testing and implementation of a new Clinical Trial Management System. Anthony also represented Finance in the design, testing and implementation of a financial risk, opportunity, change request tracking and approval system utilizing Pega software. Lastly, they were the Finance Manager for the clinical development of the following marketed products: Videx, Zerit, Sustiva, Reyataz, Tequin, Abilify, Eliquis, Daklinza, Sunvepra, Orencia, Nulojix, Empliciti and Opdivo.

Anthony Gentile has a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology from Eastern Connecticut State University. Anthony also has an MBA in Finance from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, as well as a Master's degree in Cell Biology and Anatomy from the University of Hartford.
