Benjamin Duell

Research Scientist (translational) at BioInvent International

Benjamin Duell has extensive work experience in the field of research and development, particularly in the area of immuno-oncology. Benjamin is currently employed as a Research Scientist (Translational) at BioInvent International AB, starting in November 2021. Prior to this, Benjamin worked at CanImGuide Therapeutics AB as a Senior Research Scientist from November 2016 to November 2021, where they focused on the development and modeling of antibody testing and interactions with peptide drug candidates, serum proteins, and the immune system. Benjamin also organized and documented research data.

Before joining CanImGuide Therapeutics AB, Benjamin worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Lund University from November 2014 to October 2016. During this time, they conducted a research project on potential vaccine candidate protein and antibody analysis. Benjamin also supervised formal Master students.

Prior to Lund University, Benjamin worked at Griffith University in various roles. Benjamin served as a Research Assistant from July 2014 to October 2014, where they conducted a project on the in vivo effects of an experimental compound targeting cystitis. Benjamin also wrote manuscripts, collaborated with project partners, and organized laboratory equipment. Benjamin also worked as a Research Assistant from January 2014 to June 2014, focusing on a project related to cystitis biomarkers. Benjamin performed experiments on bacterial virulence factors using cell culture models and contributed to research manuscripts for publication. Benjamin started their journey at Griffith University as a PhD Candidate from September 2009 to June 2014 and later took on the role of Teaching Supervisor from January 2010 to December 2013.

Their previous experience includes working as a Research Assistant at Queensland Institute of Medical Research from November 2008 to April 2009, and as a Customer Service Assistant at Milton Supermarket from May 2008 to October 2008.

Benjamin Duell has a strong educational background in medical science. Benjamin obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Science with a focus on Biochemistry, Immunology, and Microbiology from the University of Adelaide, where they studied from 2003 to 2006. Following this, Benjamin pursued an Honours Degree in Science at the same institution for the duration of 2007. Benjamin then went on to complete their PhD in Medical Science at Griffith University from 2009 to 2014.

Additionally, Benjamin has obtained several certifications to further enhance their expertise. In 2012, they completed a course on Human Ethics Research Design through the Humana International Foundation. In 2017, they acquired a certification in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) from Västra Götalandsregionen Gothia Forum. Subsequently, in 2020, they underwent training in Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) through Key2Compliance® - Rely on us. Finally, in 2021, they completed the Introduction to ATMPs course at Läkemedelsakademin.
